Burning the candle at both ends
Definitions
. to exhaust oneself, esp by being up late and getting up early to work
So lately I have been doing this, at first it hadn't effect me or my work but some times the brain and body say "hey time for a brake" we'll it's time for me to do so. I've not been able to create the best art do to being so over tired. To the point where I draw over and over the same design and I'm just not feeling it. So time for some me time to collect my self and get my creative thinking going again. Even though I have told my self I'm going to take a day off but end up working anyways, oh well such is life.

Mariner 10 tattoo
I tattooed this on a clients who's grandfather help build this satellite and many others including the mars rover.
Mariner 10 was an American robotic space probe launched by NASA on November 3, 1973, to fly by the planets Mercury and Venus. It was launched approximately two years after Mariner 9 and was the last spacecraft in the Mariner program (Mariner 11 and 12 were allocated to the Voyager program and redesignated Voyager 1 and Voyager 2). The mission objectives were to measure Mercury's environment, atmosphere, surface, and body characteristics and to make similar investigations of Venus. Secondary objectives were to perform experiments in the interplanetary medium and to obtain experience with a dual-planet gravity assist mission.

Sparrows in memory of Jarod Maxwell
A couple sparrows I did for the Jarod Maxwell benefit that started today. They surround a cross that is not pictured.
Historically, the sparrow tattoo started as a sailors’ tattoo.
Sailors used to get a sparrow tattoo for every 5,000 nautical miles they traveled.
Sparrows were also believed to bring a sailor good luck, so sometimes the sailor got his Sparrow tattoo before leaving the docks, hoping it would act as a talisman, and help bring him safely home again.
The ancient Egyptians believed that sparrows would catch the souls of those who had died.
This belief was another cause for a sailor to have the sparrow tattoo, as if the sailor had the misfortune of dying at sea, according to the legend the sparrow would carry his spirit to heaven.
In modern times, the sparrow tattoo is sometimes used as memorial designs for loved ones who have passed away.

Tattoo Benefit
Jarod Maxwell a 14 year old young man and friend of my daughters was struck by a car and passed away today while riding his skateboard to school. We will be donating all money earned from this to the family of Jarod to help them out. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected by this tragic accident.

Polynesian style tattoo I did at empire tattoo
1595: European explorers discover Polynesian tattooing
The early Spanish explorer Mendaña “discovered” the Fenua Enana Islands in 1595 and baptized this archipelago Marquises Islands.
But the first descriptions of Polynesian tattooing were written almost 2 centuries later by English Captain Samuel Wallis, French explorer Bougainville and English Captain Cook.
In 1767, Wallis had noticed that it was a “universal custom among men and women to get their buttocks and the back of their thighs painted with thin black lines representing different figures”.
The next year (1768) Bougainville reported in that "the women of Tahiti dye their loins and buttocks a deep blue”.
Height year later (1774), Captain Cook returning from his trip to the Marquises Islands, wrote in his diary “they print signs on people’s body and call this tattow”.
Ma’i (called by the English Omai), the first Tahitian to travel to Europe (with Captain Cook) became rapidly famous partly because of his tattoos.
